Hello Jean and Roy~ It was a delight to meet you at the Kansas City Trader Joe's and hear about your passion for cooking and wine.I am jazzed by knowing that you are traveling and following your passion for good food, writing and wine. Makes me move outside the box regarding how I want to live my life. Roy, I see you are a woodworker. A place in your travels, should you get to New England, is Yestermorrow in Vermont. It is a school for woodworkers and builders. My daughter received her woodworker's certificate there. I enjoy the Slow Food philosophy that food and wine is to be slowly enjoyed with others. It is the intersection of real conversation and food where hearts and minds can be shared and appreciated. I sense this is also a value for you. All the best in your travels together!

I have a very talented and loving grandmother (jean denham). Her love of her family is as strong as her love for cooking may these books continue to sell out and keep providing scholarships to deserving apprentices. The joy cooking has brought to our family should be in every family. Keep going strong grandma :)

Jean, Wow, a chef! I am privileged that you responded to my question and I think your idea has won out, I have all the ingredients on hand, except for the party rye. I love your website and I am going to try your pork chops with cranberry sauce prepared in the slow cooker, sounds delicious... now I had better get my dinner going!
